
The main objectives of the meeting were:
analysis of progress in implementing the CoARA (Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment) principles;
strengthening cooperation between RAEG and CDEG experts;
finalization of a joint analytical report;
discussion of key stages of research assessment reform and future strategies.
Participants shared their experience of implementing changes at their universities, discussed national and institutional approaches to reforms, and highlighted local practices aligned with CoARA principles.
Particular attention was paid to the evolution of the HRS4R (Human Resources Strategy for Researchers) framework from 2005 to 2023 – through the prism of research evaluation and diversity of research careers.
The final panel brought together RAEG and CDEG experts for an open discussion of the next steps.
The meeting in Pécs was an important step in strengthening cooperation between EDUC partners and developing a responsible approach to research evaluation in Europe.
